About the Job
The selected .NET developer will create and maintain software applications for our client’s web site and intranet. They will be responsible for end-to-end software lifecycle tasks including:
• Working with end-users to gather requirements, document those requirements and advise stakeholders on best practices/methods for delivery.
• Designing and coding applications and applicable SQL-Server databases tables.
• Complete testing applications including developing test plans for user acceptance.
• Install applications on production servers.
• Serve as second tier support for users both within and outside the department and troubleshoot and fix bugs in coded applications.
• Maintain legacy applications written in classic ASP, VB, Cold Fusion, Access and VBA.
What is expected of the .NET Developer
The selected candidate must have a solid background in full lifecycle software engineering including expertise in ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, XML and other related languages – experience with SharePoint design is strongly preferred. The candidate also should have a general understanding of object oriented design and development and its application to web-based systems and be someone who keeps up to date on development technology. This is a relatively small development shop so the selected developer will be expected to contribute, meet deadlines and grow with the organization as business demands.
